The EasyDriver is a stepper motor driver for the Arduino. It is designed to make it easier to control and code DC motors and give you precise results. It comes with a micro-stepping feature on the broken out pins MS1 and MS2 to enable changing the resolution from micro-stepping to full, half, quarter and eighth (default) steps.
The EasyDriver is compatible with stepper motors of any voltage and is designed around the A3967 IC. It also has the following specifications:
- Motor power supply range 7-30V
- Supports 4, 6 and 8 wire stepper motors of any voltage
- Adjustable current control from 150mA/phase to 750 mA/phase
- An onboard voltage regulator can be set from 5V to 3.3V for the digital interface.
Programming the EasyDriver is pretty easy using the Arduino IDE and requires little code to get started.
Note: Do not connect or disconnect a motor while the driver is energized since that may cause permanent damage to the A3967 IC.
